This was exactly what happened on November 22nd, when a passionate fan, Jill Francisco, gathered fans from around the Philippines for the first-ever Robotime Club Meetup.
Their shared passion led them from the online community into the real world, turning into a celebration that brought people together.
Gathering Together in One Passion
This meetup was organised by a full-fledged member of the Robotime community, Jill, who wanted fellow DIY crafters to hang out. Some of them had never met physically prior to the event, yet the event provided them with the opportunity to meet in real life, exchange ideas, and discuss their fondness for Robotime kits.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, filled with excitement as participants bonded over their shared passion. It was a joyous occasion to meet together and laugh over drinks, discovering how much they had in common. The room was filled with positive energy and creativity.
Jill described the meetup as “successful and heartwarming”, a statement that carried the weight of the love that participants experienced.

Highlighting the Sakura Bonsai Kit
The most memorable moment of the day was the construction of the Sakura Bonsai kit, which was a popular one among the group. They all took out their already cut pieces, placed them on the desk, and began building. With the fine details of the exclusive finishes, these DIY kits demonstrated how a simple kit can touch hearts.
As Jill mentioned, everyone was serious and dedicated. It was exciting to see how each kit came to life while they shared stories. If someone was stuck, there was another to lend a helping hand. The joy of connecting over a shared hobby made the meetup unforgettable. At the end of the event, everyone was appreciated for taking time out of their busy schedule to hang out.

“So I wasn’t able to finish this piece during the meetup and opted to get it done at home. When i was finally done, I let out a small shout of triumph. My youngest, ever the sweetest, suddenly said, “Wow, Mommy, that is soooo awesome! I’m so proud of you! I’ll give you 1000 kisses! The best way to cap off my day.”
Gidge:
“This was my first-ever Robotime meetup… Everyone was incredibly welcoming, and it was inspiring to see other people passionate about building and crafting. I’m grateful to have experienced this first meetup with the community. For my build, I worked on the Sakura Bonsai, and finishing it felt so satisfying.”
Beav3:
“First time after a long time doing a Rolife DIY set!! It was fun to create and meet the ladies who also enjoy making these sets. Until the next meet up!”
