Visible gears, cranks, and working mechanisms turn engineering ideas into hands-on display pieces.
02Melody and coordinated motion meet in instruments, factories, and story-led mechanical scenes.
03Follow steel balls through lifts, switches, and layered tracks built as kinetic cityscapes.
04Vehicles, ships, and machines preserve the details of travel and invention in buildable form.
A history built by hand
Since 2007, ROKR has explored a simple idea: engineering becomes more meaningful when people can build it with their own hands. This archive traces that idea across mechanical wooden models, marble runs, music boxes, scale vehicles, and other creative engineering kits. Each release records a different way of turning movement, structure, sound, or scientific curiosity into a hands-on object.
Early models established the visual language that still defines ROKR: exposed gears, layered wooden construction, and mechanisms that invite the builder to understand how motion travels through a machine. Later collections expanded that language. Marble runs transformed gears and tracks into kinetic cityscapes. Mechanical music boxes brought melody and coordinated movement into display pieces. Scale models interpreted vehicles, inventions, and exploration through precise assemblies designed to be built, handled, and observed.
Across these categories, craftsmanship is not only a surface detail. It is part of the experience. Laser-cut parts, fitted joints, mechanical linkages, and carefully sequenced instructions allow complex ideas to unfold step by step. The finished model becomes a record of both design and participation: an object created by ROKR, but completed by its builder. This product archive brings those releases together by year, showing how familiar themes have evolved, how new mechanisms have entered the collection, and how ROKR continues to connect creative engineering with the satisfaction of making something real.
