How to Connect the ROKR Marble Night City to the ROKR Marble Spaceport

Apr 28, 2025 Jennifer Calapit

We all know how mind-blowing the ROKR Marble Night City and Marble Spaceport are, with their nonstop kinetic action and eye-catching displays of speed and mechanical genius. They're simply impossible not to replay— over and over again.

Now imagine linking these two kinetic masterpieces together for double the thrills, double the fun, and double the satisfaction. The level of awesomeness would absolutely be epic.

ROKR has heard your requests and now presents the Marble Run Link Pack, a special connector mechanism that combines the Night City and Spaceport into one gigantic marble run phenomenon.

Let's build our mega-marble run!

What You'll Need:

Using the Link Pack is easy as the kit contains all the tools you need to build and connect it.

Step-by-Step Assembly Guide

Important reminders before you start: Handle all parts carefully and do not screw them too tightly that they bend or warp. Use a tool to dismantle or handle tiny parts to avoid damaging them. Do not force them into place if they do not fit. Applying wax will help lubricate moving parts.

Step 1: Assemble Each Marble Run Model

Both the Marble Night City and Spaceport have to be completed before you can link them together. Follow the instruction manuals provided in each kit and ensure that all their components are secure and functioning properly. You won't be able to integrate these marble runs if they're not built correctly.

Step 2: Prepare the Link Pack Components and Position the Models

Unbox the ROKR Marble Run Link Pack (LG01) and organize its components. All necessary pieces are included, so familiarize yourself with the instruction manual.

Step 3: Build the Transmission Shaft

The small nuts attach to the right side and the large nuts to the left side of the link pack. Stick the plastic tape to the shaft with the sticky side facing outward, this will ensure that the parts slide easily. Don't forget to insert the metal rings into the designated wooden parts.

Step 4: The Motor and Switch

You will be using the Spaceport motor for the whole structure, so remove it from the marble run carefully. Use tweezers to unplug the wire carefully, then unscrew it from the bottom to separate it from the structure and the frame.

Put the motor back together using the link pack's wooden base along with the old frame and cover. Wax the gears if necessary.

Now attach the small black control board to the wooden slot holder provided in the link pack.

Step 5: The LED Strip Frames

Build the frame and stick the LED light strip around it snugly, removing the adhesive protector as you go. Attach the wooden hooks to secure the strip and reinforce the frame with the parts.

Repeat the process with another frame. The wires should be facing each other when you attach them.

Step 6: Building the Superstructure

To prepare the marble runs for linking, the support legs for both toys will need to be removed. These parts can be kept and re-attached if you decide to separate them again.

Place the Spaceport on the right frame and secure it with the pins. Remove the hand crank gently and replace it with the gears from the link pack.

Now take the Night City and place it on the left frame, pinning them securely into place.

The long piece with the motor you built earlier goes into the middle of the frames. Screw the piece to secure it.

Step 7: The Link Pack Power Distributor

The link pack comes with a wired motor that will help distribute the power. Carefully pop off the switch to prepare it for assembly. Lift the superstructure on its side and attach the wires from either marble run. When that's done, attach the long wire to the power source and slide the silver switch up the frame through the slot. Cover this with the gray piece and that becomes your on/off button. You can now screw the circuit board underneath the frame and then cover it.

Step 8: Connecting and Testing the Structure

Attach the gear assembly to the middle and connect it with the belts. Each belt goes through either side where the hand cranks used to be. Make sure they fit snugly.

Build the extra tracks and attach them to the correct spaces. To test, manually roll a marble through the connected tracks. The ride should be smooth and there should be no obstructions.

Step 9: Plug, Test, and Adjust if Necessary

Plug in the USB cable and press the button. A single press should turn the gears and allow the marbles to run. A long press will stop the marbles from moving.

Adjustments will need to be made if the marbles get stuck. Check your belts, gears, or alignment if this happens.

Congratulations! You've now created your marble run supercourse. Enjoy and flaunt your hard work!
